Quantitative recovery of lecithins after argentation chromatography on thin layers.
نویسندگان
چکیده
The lecithins of rat liver are resolved into three fractions by chromatography on a thin layer of silica gel impregnated with silver nitrate. Each of these fractions is placed in a small column containing a cation-exchange resin, and the lecithins are eluted free from silver nitrate. Recoveries average 96%.

Resolution of intact phosphatidylinositols by argentation thin-layer chromatography.
An argentation thin-layer chromatographic method is described for the separation of intact phosphatidylinositols on the basis of the degree of unsaturation of their component fatty acids. The system is applicable for metabolic studies using radioactive precursors of phosphatidylinositol.

An analytical method has been firstly achieved for the quantification of ginkgolic acids from Ginkgo biloba leaves by reversed-phase argentation high performance liquid chromatography. Analytical sample was cleaned-up after addition of acidic salt solution and adsorbent to the matrix solution by counter-extraction of analytes with hexane. Ginkgolic acids were determined by HPLC with methanol an...
متن کاملA novel group of very long chain polyenoic fatty acids in dipolyunsaturated phosphatidylcholines from vertebrate retina.
Dipolyunsaturated phosphatidylcholines from bovine retina contain a whole series of unusual fatty acids. Methyl esters from these acids are very strongly retained on polar and nonpolar gas-liquid chromatography stationary phases. On thin layers of silica-AgNO3, they separate as tetra-, penta-, and hexaenoic fatty acid methyl esters. After hydrogenation, the three polyunsaturated fractions give ...

Separation of molecular species of sphingomyelin and ceramide by argentation and reversed-phase HPLC.
A convenient method for the separation of molecular species of complex lipids such as sphingomyelin and ceramide by argentation high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is described for the first time. Molecular species separation of these complex lipids was achieved for quantitative analysis and preparative work by the combined use of argentation and reversed-phase HPLC.-Smith, M., P. Mon...
